Shani Ghosh is a Manly-born artist creating highly detailed, surrealistic drawings on paper and digital photomontage. Her work has been exhibited at various galleries across Sydney, including Warringah Creative Space, Brookvale, and the Rayner Hoff Gallery, Darlinghurst. Her Visual Arts HSC drawings were selected for Art Express by Manly Art Gallery, 2011. Teaching art classes and interning at the Kensington Contemporary Art Gallery has contributed to her experience as a creative mentor, artist and writer for the arts. Commissioned and exhibited works reside in private collections across Australia, New Zealand and London.

'Creative Essences' involved collecting hundreds of free images under the theme of digital abundance, creative muses and inspiration. In our modern world, technology aids the access to and sharing of a near-infinite amount of images and information. A tension of duality is created by combining references to our earthly surroundings experienced unanimously with remote and virtual spaces made possible through technology. A distinctly feminine creator engages in various practices as an allegory of the creative spirit for visual art, music and literature. The endless possibilities imagined in the mind are likened to the vastness of our Universe and the unknown depths of the World Wide Web.
