How might the perception of reality vary if something as fundamental as colour can be so unequivocally unique in its interpretation between individuals? Lucy’s practice is an introspection into these variations in perception. Her artwork questions the complexities that intertwine human consciousness within the digital age of information over-saturation. Whilst her works are distorted by computerised deconstruction and collage, they retain fragments of physical strokes by brush and pen. This multimedia approach to art-making reflects the increasing intermingling of offline and online identities in a contemporary space.
