Katrina's work focuses on the wonder and curiosity surrounding nature. The exploration of the unknown through the aesthetic of intrigue and observation, as seen in the Cabinet of Curiosities in the 16th and 17th Centuries. Her work is meant to emulate this curiosity not just of nature but of the gallery space and its works, creating a place where you go in and explore, rather than view from a distance.

Creating her "Fieldcase of Curiosities" series, Katrina intends to show you the world through the lens of a botanical artist. She shares her intrigue and love of the small, intricate, detailed parts of nature, using vintage cases, and her ceramic work, as a way to bring you along on her travels.
