Collection: Hayden Broderick
Hayden Broderick is a multi-disciplinary artist practicing within the expanded field of Conceptual Art. Working with photographic and sculptural mediums, his practice seeks to challenge the traditional identity of the artist by exploring the concept of artistic intervention. Primarily using found objects, Broderick aims to satirically highlight the disparity between the physical value and the cognitive value of Contemporary Art, and identify the effects that artistic intervention has on the perceived value of the materials used to create it. By remaining intentionally transparent about the origin of the objects he uses within his practice, Broderick isolates the effect that his own artistic intervention has on the value of his work, testing the boundaries of artistic license and re-examining the role of the Contemporary artist as a whole.
