My BFA body of work, “The Playground” is a gathering of totemic ceramic structures; They embody a sense of the familiar and the unfamiliar, something you recognise but can't quite place. The vibrant and textural style , attempts to capture a child-like perspective; free from over analysation and full of present, expressive marks.  The sensitive relationship between scale, colour and solidity is central to the experience of the work.

Together they can be encountered as a whole or individually as single objects, with each object decomposing into smaller components, fractally oscillating between the micro and macro. 

They are a family of objects in conversation. They all come from the same world, another world.
